Audit of ventilation systems

The ventilation system audit verifies indoor air quality by studying the performance of ventilation systems and their compliance with current standards.

It rests on two fundamental pillars: dust measurements and leak tests.

Dust measurements on ventilation systems

Ventilation systems naturally accumulate dust particles and other contaminants over time, which can adversely affect indoor air quality and the proper operation of installations.

Dust measurements enable an assessment of the cleanliness of air ducts and verification of their compliance with standard EN 15780, which defines acceptable cleanliness thresholds according to classification (new buildings, existing buildings, or after cleaning).

Analysis of results and targeted intervention

Once the measurements have been taken, our IGIENAIR experts work on and analyse the data collected in order to identify the areas requiring action.

Our IGIENAIR team then carries out a complete sanitisation of the ventilation systems to restore compliant and sustainable levels of cleanliness.

Dust measurements may also be carried out following the cleaning of air duct systems to ensure the absence of contamination and compliance with the defined criteria.

Leak test objectives

Leak testing of ventilation systems makes it possible to check the quality of ventilation and air-conditioning ducts, whether they are new or existing.

It guarantees compliance with standards NF EN 12237, NF EN 1507, and NF EN 12599, These are essential to prevent energy loss and ensure optimum ventilation.

Leak testing serves several purposes:

Assessing conduit quality

Identification of any leaks in the networks.

Ensuring compliance

Check that networks comply with watertightness classes defined by standards.

Optimizing energy performance

Air loss control to improve system efficiency.

Test d'étanchéité AEROSEAL

Our approach

The tests are carried out using standardised equipment to measure leakage rates at different pressures and assess the compliance of the pipes. A visual and technical inspection is carried out to locate any leaks.

Compliance is confirmed if the measured airtightness class is less than or equal to the target class. Following these tests, IGIENAIR provides a detailed report setting out the measurement results.

Our teams analyse the results and propose corrective measures to ensure the air ductwork is airtight, as part of an energy optimisation program.
